Abstract
Part 161 of Title 21 of the Federal Code of Regulations prescribes various food labelling and food safety issues regarding the fish and shellfish.
This Regulation closely provides the rules regarding the: definitions and general terms; declaration of quantity of contents on labels for canned oysters; concrete requirements for specific standardized fish and shellfish (also products).
More closely provisions are determining the rules to be applied on: oysters; olympia oysters; canned oysters; canned pacific salmon; canned wet pack shrimp in transparent or non-transparent containers; frozen raw breaded shrimp; frozen raw lightly breaded shrimp; canned tuna.
