Abstract
The National Seed Strategy for Rehabilitation and Restoration 2015–2020 is a national sectoral strategy of the United States of America. Its main objective is to provide all land managers— Federal, tribal, state, county, private, and nongovernmental organization—the tools they need to address ecological restoration across the United States.
More specifically, the Strategy aims to identify seed needs, and ensure the reliable availability of genetically appropriate seed; identify research needs and conduct research to provide genetically appropriate seed and to improve technology for native seed production and ecosystem restoration; develop tools that enable managers to make timely, informed seeding decisions for ecological restoration; and develop strategies for internal and external communication.
