Abstract
Part 181 of Title 21 of the Federal Code of Regulations defines the necessary issues for the prior-sanctioned food ingredients (ingredients whose use in food or food packaging is subject to a prior sanction or approval) in terms of food safety.
This Regulation also determines the rules regarding certain substances employed in the manufacture of food-packaging materials; substances used in the manufacture of paper and paperboard products used in food packaging.
