Abstract
Part 189 of Title 21 of the Federal Code of Regulations provides food safety provisions related to the substances prohibited from use in human food (food production and processing; and food packaging).
This Regulation also prescribes rules regarding the prohibited cattle materials; substances generally prohibited from direct addition or use as human food; substances prohibited from indirect addition to human food through food-contact surfaces.
