Abstract
Part 509 of Title 21 of the Federal Code of Regulations prescribes the food safety provisions regarding the animal health and related to the animal feed safety (unavoidable contaminants in animal food and food-packaging material).
This Regulation further defines the concrete tolerances for unavoidable poisonous or deleterious substances; temporary tolerances for polychlorinated biphenyls (pcb’s); regulatory limits for added poisonous or deleterious substances.
