Abstract
The Parties will carry out mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of agro-industrial complex in accordance with their national legislation, and to promote the development and deepening of contacts between economic entities of both states, regardless of their forms of ownership and subordination. The authorized bodies of the Parties to implement the provision of this Agreement shall be: on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Ministry of Agriculture and Water Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan; on behalf of the Government of Turkmenistan - Ministry of Agriculture Turkmenistan. The Parties will promote the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in following areas of the agro-industrial complex: (a) exchange of experience in the cultivation of cotton, cereals and other species of agricultural crops, as well as in the field of seed production; (b) exchange of experience in introducing a market economy, new forms of management, the organization of farms and the determination of the effectiveness of their activities; (c) exchange of experience in the field of animal husbandry and poultry farming, including genetics, reproduction and physiology of farm animals; (d) assistance for the implementation of scientific achievements on biological and chemical methods of plant protection, joint testing and registration of chemical means of plant protection; (e) analysis and forecasting of production and demand for agricultural products; (f) soil exploration and erosion control; (g) development of water management, irrigation in agricultural production; (h) interaction on procurement and supply of agricultural products, equipment and mineral fertilizers produced in Uzbekistan; and (i) storage, processing of agricultural products, including technologies for the manufacturing of concentrates. Cooperation shall be performed in the following forms: (a) exchange of information and scientific research; (b) joint symposia, seminars, conferences; (c) planning; (d) training of scientific staff for agriculture; and (e) exchange of genetic material for crops, stockbreeding and poultry farming.

This Agreement entered into force on 29 October 2008.
Notes
This Agreement is concluded for a period of five years and it shall be automatically extended for subsequent five-year periods, unless either Party notifies the other Party in writing of its intention to terminate it no less than six months before the expiration of corresponding period.
