Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on Cooperation in the Area of Rational Water and Energy Uses in 1999

The Parties with this Agreement establish arrangements for the year 1999 regarding exchange of electricity generated by hydropower and water storage and use in the Syr Darya river. The Parties also agree that the balance of mutual settlements may be recovered by the supplies of material and technical resources, and energy products (works, services), necessary for normal functioning of the energy systems, and free of all types of export and import customs duties.
