Agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Azerbaijan on cooperation in the sphere of prevention of natural disasters and mitigation of the consequences thereof.

The Parties have agreed to cooperate in the following fields: (a) organization and performance of monitoring of hazardous technological and ecological processes and natural phenomena, and forecast of natural and technological disasters; (b) exchange of information; (c) exchange of experience in preparation of the population in case of the outbreak of natural or technological disasters; (d) coordination between civil protection bodies; (e) disaster risk assessment; (f) joint scientific research; (g) training of experts and staff; and (h) mutual assistance in case of the outbreak of natural or technological disasters.
