Agreement between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Latvia on cooperation in the sphere of standardization, metrology and certification.

The Parties, for the purpose of ensuring in the interest of consumers compatibility and interchangeability of produce, its safety for human health and with the aim of environmental protection, willing to promote cooperation in the sphere of standards and certification systems, have agreed to cooperate in the following fields: (a) acknowledgement of test results, certification methods and compliance certificates (art. 5); (b) exchange of information on the national certification systems (art. 7); (c) exchange of the list of produce subject to compulsory national certification (art. 8); (d) harmonization of the national certification and standardization systems (art. 13).
