Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan on economic cooperation for the period of 2018-2020.

The Parties have agreed to promote cooperation with a view of implementation and development of interaction between enterprises of all forms of ownership, sectoral and inter-sectoral complexes on the basis of their direct production links, encouraging the participation of enterprises of the Parties in investment projects and tenders implemented on the territory of Parties. In particular, cooperation shall be performed in agriculture on long-term scale with exchange of experience in this sector. The Parties will contribute to the development of a unified position on issues of cooperation in the field of environmental protection and environmental management, including the management and use of water and energy resources in the basins of transboundary rivers in Central Asia, as well as overcoming the ecological crisis and improving the social and economic situation in the Aral Sea basin.
