Decision No. PP-3910 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures for a more effective use of the cocoon industry.”

The President, in order to increase the efficiency of cocooning enterprises, introduce innovative technologies in the field, attract owners of agricultural land (households) to cocooning on a household basis and encourage them to provide employment for rural residents, especially women, decrees as follows: (a) to accept the proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan for accelerated development of planting mulberry seedlings along the edges of personal plots in order to strengthen the food supply of cocoons; and (b) the Uzbekipaksanoat Association, the Council of Farmers, Farmers and Homeowners of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in order to ensure employment of rural residents, especially women, and increase their income through a cocoon network, shall accept proposals for free delivery of mulberry seedlings for a period from 50 to 90 days based on a contract.
