Law No. ZRU-213 “On technical regulation”.

The purpose of this Law shall be to regulate relations concerning application and observance safety of produce. Safety of produce comprises actual state of produce, processing, handling, storage, transportation, trade and recycling so as to prevent any possible damage to human life and health, and also to environment. It regards sanitary, veterinary, phytosanitary and ecological norms and standards. The main tasks of technical regulation shall be: (a) safety of human life and health; (b) protection of environment and rational use of natural resources; and (c) fraud prevention. The basic principles of technical regulation shall be: (a) mandatoriness of application of technical regulations; (b) uniformity of technical regulations; and (c) availability of technical regulations, information on elaboration and application thereof.
