Law No. ZRU-240 amending some laws.

Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Water and Water Use shall be amended to add the following wording: (a) Article 4 Unified state water fund shall include streams, gullies, rivers, lakes, seas, channels, drainage system water, springs, ponds and other surface waters; groundwater, snow stock and glaciers.”; (b) Article 182 Water users’ associations shall be set up mainly in accordance with hydrographical location in order to ensure rational management and use of water resources.” Article 55 of Land Code shall be amended to add the following wording: “Citizens residing in rural areas for three or more years shall be allotted on condition of lifelong hereditary possession plots of land for smallholding farm of total area of 0,35 ha of irrigated land, and of 0,5 ha of non-irrigated (bogharic) land, and in steppe or desert zone 1 ha of non-irrigated pasture.”Article 3 of Law No. 600-I on agricultural cooperative (shirkat) shall be amended to add the following wording: “Farms shall be the main economic entity of agricultural production in the Republic of Uzbekistan.”Article 8 of Law No. 604-I on dehkan farm shall be amended to add the following wording:“Citizens residing in rural areas for three or more years shall be allotted on condition of lifelong hereditary possession plots of land for smallholding farm of total area of 0,35 ha of irrigated land, and of 0,5 ha of non-irrigated (bogharic) land, and in steppe or desert zone 1 ha of non-irrigated pasture.”
