Order No. 81 of the Minister of Agriculture and Water Economy validating the Regulation on the procedure for storage, use and transfer of microorganisms and strains of viruses, animal and plant toxins and poisons for veterinary uses.

This Regulation establishes the procedure for storage, use and transfer from one organization to another of microorganisms and strains of viruses, animal and plant toxins and poisons for veterinary uses, and registration thereof. Strains and poisons of microorganisms shall be classified into groups I, II and III of pathogenic agents, specified in Appendix 1, according to their pathogenic activity. Control over the activities of organizations for the storage, use and distribution of strains of microorganisms and poisons to other organizations is carried out by the Chief Directorate of State Veterinary Medicine under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The storage, use and renewal of strains of microorganisms and poisons by organizations, as well as their transfer to other organizations, are carried out in strict compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements. It is prohibited to store strains of microorganisms and poisons that cause diseases of groups I and II, unless it is possible to create a special facility for storing these pathogens. Organizations producing live vaccines, food environment, cell and tissue cultures are prohibited from having collections of infectious disease agents. Strains and poisons of microorganisms are transported in metal containers and boxes intended for transportation. The transfer of strains of microorganisms and poisons from one organization to another is carried out with an official request and a power of attorney signed and sealed by the head of the organization.
