Presidential Decree No. UP-158 validating Strategy “Uzbekistan-2030.”

The President, in order to ensure the will of our people about building a free and prosperous, strong New Uzbekistan, creating every citizen every opportunity to develop their potential, raise a healthy, educated and spiritually developed generation, the formation of a strong economy, which has become an important link in global production, as well as guaranteed access to justice, the rule of law, security and stability, decrees to validate Strategy “Uzbekistan-2030”, which reflects the following main ideas: (a) joining the ranks of upper-middle-income countries by sustainable economic development; (b) creation of a system of education, medicine and social protection, fully consistent with the needs of the people and international standards; and (c) creation of favorable environmental conditions for the population.
Goal I: creating decent conditions for realizing the potential of every person. In particular, widespread implementation of innovation activities in in all fields, support of scientific research and innovation initiatives, formation among the population of healthy nutrition and healthy lifestyle, poverty reduction.
Goal II: ensuring welfare of the population through sustainable economic growth. In particular, doubling by 2030 economic growth, transition to green economy, cardinal improved performance use of renewable energy as its basis, sharp increase in productivity and profitability level in agriculture, improvement of export capacity.
Goal III: water conservation and environmental protection. In particular, rational water management and efficient water consumption, efficient water use in agriculture, promotion of irrigation and water saving technologies, improvement of environmental situation, prevention of negative impact of climate change, prevention of air pollution.
Goal IV: ensuring the rule of law, organization of public administration, oriented on service to the people. In particular, improvement of territorial management, development of institutional framework as the basis of legal policy of the state.
Goal V: consistent continuation of a policy based on the principle “safe and peaceful state”. In particular, international cooperation and expansion of the geographic area of international relations, prevention of emergency situations and disasters originating from climate change.
