Presidential Decree No. UP-6262 “On measures to radically improve the quarantine and plant protection system in the Republic of Uzbekistan.”

The President, in order to further improve the quarantine and plant protection management system, ensure phytosanitary and food security, fully transfer the system for the supply of mineral fertilizers and chemicals and the provision of services to the private sector, increase the competitiveness of domestic agricultural products in foreign markets and increase the country's export potential, as well as improve the quality of mineral fertilizers and agrochemical services, decrees to establish the Agency for Plant Quarantine and Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the basis of the State Plant Quarantine Inspection under the Cabinet of Ministers. The Government shall introduce, for a period until December 31, 2024, the procedure for state support in the procurement of the necessary processing equipment, agrometeorological stations, biological laboratory devices and other equipment by business entities engaged in the production and provision of services in the field of combating pests, diseases and plant weeds.
