Presidential Decree No. PP-224 “On additional measures aimed at increasing the number of small ruminants for meat, wool and dairy production and strengthening the feed base of the sector in the country.”

The President, in order to further develop sheep and goat breeding in the country, increasing the feed supply of the sector, supporting subjects of entrepreneurship in this field, as well as organizations fattening small ruminants in their households in cooperation with livestock farms and processors livestock products, decrees to approve: (a) allocation of credits to business entities for a period of up to 5 years, including three-year grace period - for the purchase of sheep and goats from abroad for production of meat, wool and dairy products; (b) allocation of credits to business entities for a period of up to 10 years, including three-year grace period - to finance projects for creation of feed workshops (granulators) and organization of processing of meat, wool and dairy products; and (c) allocation of credits to business entities for a period of up to 5 years, including a three-year grace period - for extraction of water (drilling or major repairs of wells) to meet the water needs of livestock on pastures and installation of resource-saving equipment on water structures.
