Presidential Decree No. PP-5213 “On measures for breeding and popularization of Karabair horse breed and further development of equestrian sports in Surkhandarya region.

The President, in order to breed horses of the Karabair race, which is an integral part of the national heritage, large-scale involvement of this horse breed in equestrian sports, as well as the further development of equestrian sports in the country, decrees to create a Karabair equestrian school under the National Guard. The main tasks and activities of the Karabair equestrian schools shall be as follows: (a) implementation of comprehensive measures to popularize the use of horses of the breed Karabair in the organization and conduct of national equestrian competitions, aimed at educating the younger generation of riders, as well as increasing international authority of the national equestrian sport; (b) increasing the number of horses of the Karabair breed by improving horse breeding; and (c) assistance in improving the work on the maintenance of horses of the Karabair breed and providing quality veterinary services, as well as ensuring the competitiveness of horses the Karabair breed among other horse breeds on the world market.
