Resolution No. 15 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures for the development of Samarcand tea bagging factory.”

This Resolution establishes that the State Customs Committee, the Ministry of Economy, the Agency for Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with other interested departments, establish a procedure under which, starting from 2005, the import of tea raw materials into the country is carried out only by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs without forming a legal entity, having packaging equipment, in volumes not exceeding their production capacity. Trade and retail vending of tea in unpackaged form shall be prohibited starting from 1 April 2005.
