Resolution No. 158 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On improving the system for testing varieties of agricultural crops.”

This Resolution validates the procedure for maintaining the state register of agricultural crops recommended for planting on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the requirements for it, the procedure for submitting an application for registration in the state register and the procedure for its consideration, information subject to registration in the state register, as well as varieties of agricultural crops according to Appendix 1; and requirements, terms and conditions for testing new varieties of agricultural crops, the procedure for providing public services for testing varieties of agricultural crops and the list of necessary documents, consideration of an application for registration in the state register, issuance of a certificate of registration in the state register in accordance with Appendix 2. The procedure for maintaining the state register of agricultural crops recommended for planting on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan establishes the methodology for registration in the information system “Agrotest.uz”, an automated information system for creating and updating information on testing crop varieties and electronic state register, agricultural crops recommended for planting on the national territory. Agricultural crops recommended for planting shall tested according to the procedure approved by the Center for Testing Agricultural Crop Varieties under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan at variety testing stations and sites located in the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan with different natural soil and climatic conditions and on fields selected by the applicant, with the purpose to study the beneficial properties of crop varieties for the economy. Requirements, terms and conditions for testing new varieties of agricultural crops, the procedure for providing public services for testing varieties of agricultural crops terms and conditions for compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements and requirements of technical regulatory documents in the field of testing of new plant varieties and application of methods for testing new varieties of agricultural crops. Decree No. 530 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on State Forestry Committee shall be amended to add the following wording: “The Committee shall ensure keeping the List of zoned ornamental, medicinal, technical and nutritious plants in the state register of agricultural crops recommended for planting on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
