Resolution No. 276 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures for increasing the efficiency of breeding of houbara bustard (Chlamydotis undulata).

This Resolution, in order to effectively implement programs in the field of nature conservation, improve the environmental situation, create conditions for the artificial breeding of rare species of wild birds that are endangered and included in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in particular houbara bustard (Chlamydotis undulata), preserve the gene pool and increase their population in the country authorizes the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, together with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on the basis of applications from the Emirates Center for the Conservation of the Houbara Bustard and the Emirates Center for Breeding Birds, in accordance with the procedure established by law, to issue permits for: (a) collecting houbara bustard eggs for their subsequent cultivation in special high-tech equipment (incubators); (b) importation of houbara bustards (a subspecies inhabiting the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan) and their eggs into the Republic of Uzbekistan. Specimens of houbara bustards, their eggs, high-calorie feed, high-tech equipment and other equipment necessary for the effective implementation of the project for breeding these birds, imported by the Emirates Center for the Conservation of Houbara Bustards and the Emirates Center for the Conservation of breeding birds according to the list approved by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers shall be exempted from customs duties (except for customs clearance fees).
