Resolution No. 309 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures for organizing modern fruit and vegetable agricultural clusters in Namangan region.”

This Resolution establishes that fruit and vegetable agricultural clusters in Namangan region shall be created on the basis of agreement between business entity «Siberian Wellness-Namangan» and the administration of Namangan region. The main tasks of agro-industrial clusters shall be as follows: (a) widespread introduction of modern methods of growing fruits and vegetables and other agricultural crops, scientific achievements and advanced innovative and water-saving irrigation technologies; (b) the use of effective methods and technologies for deep processing of fruits and vegetables, attracting foreign direct investment; (c) creation of a modern “in vitro” laboratory and nurseries for growing healthy fruit tree seedlings; (d) increasing export volumes through the production of competitive value-added products; and (e) increasing soil fertility and agricultural yields, rational and efficient use of land and implementation of measures for its protection.
