Resolution No. 397 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on the use of drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors in veterinary.

Regulation on the use of drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors in veterinary establishes that storage, release, sale, distribution and use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors is authorized if there is a license for the relevant type of activity and subject to the conditions provided for by this Regulation: (a) in warehouses (storage facilities) of veterinary drugs and in veterinary pharmacies of national, regional, district (interdistrict), city divisions of the state veterinary service, the national production association Uzzoovettaminothizmat and its regional branches, other institutions, organizations and enterprises, regardless of the form of ownership, carrying out their turnover; (b) in veterinary laboratories; (c) in veterinary research institutions, higher educational institutions and testing laboratories; and (c) in veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturing plants. Narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors for veterinary purposes are authorized for use in medical and preventive veterinary institutions (including veterinary sites and points), in livestock farms and enterprises only in the form of ready-to-use dosage forms. For veterinary purposes, only narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors included in lists II, III and IV of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors subject to control in the Republic of Uzbekistan can be used. Storage of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors not authorized for use in the Republic of Uzbekistan in warehouses (storage facilities) of veterinary drugs, veterinary pharmacies and other veterinary institutions and organizations is prohibited.
