Abstract
This Regulation establishes the procedure for determining areas of distribution of pests, diseases and weeds of agricultural crops. Determining the distribution areas of pests, diseases and weeds of agricultural crops is carried out in order to plan plant protection measures, determine the need for the necessary chemical and biological means of protection and determine the timing of the implementation of measures. Determining the distribution areas of pests, diseases and weeds of agricultural crops is carried out by forecasting effective plant protection based on phytosanitary monitoring of the regions. Plant protection forecasting is carried out using the following types and forecasting methods: (a) long-term forecasts (5 years); (b) short-term forecasts (within a period of several days to a month); and (c) phenological observation. In phenological monitoring of the development of pests and crops, it is carried out in order to determine the level of probability of their change or the onset of certain phases under certain environmental conditions. Phenological observations serve as the basis for determining the possible harm of individual species in certain environmental conditions and determining the optimal timing for combating it.
