Abstract
The Cabinet of Ministers, in order to widely involve the public to ensure the protection of the rights and interests of consumers, strengthen public control over preventing the sale of low-quality goods on the domestic consumer market that pose a danger to the life and health of people, intensify work to improve the legal and consumer culture of the population, decrees to take into account that territorial associations for the protection of consumer rights formed the Federation of Associations for the Protection of Consumer Rights, the main objectives of which are: (a) widespread propaganda among the population of the current legislation on consumer protection; (b) implementation of measures for legal protection of the rights and interests of consumers; (c) conducting monitoring to ensure the proper quality and safety of consumer goods sold on the domestic market, and other legislative requirements on the protection of consumer rights; (d) carrying out educational work to improve the consumer culture of the population; and (e) interaction and cooperation with government bodies, self-government of citizens, supervisory and control authorities in creating effective mechanisms for protecting consumer rights.
