Resolution No. 490 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to organize tea production and provide the population with high-quality tea and domestically produced tea products.”

The Cabinet of Ministers decrees to set up Research and Production Tea Development Center in the form of a limited liability company with the participation of scientific institutions, farms and other entrepreneurs, with the entrustment to the Center for the following main tasks: (a) organizing the procurement of tea seeds and seedlings, supplying them to farms and entrepreneurs; (b) development of technology for growing tea, taking into account climatic and other conditions of the country, the creation of industrial tea plantations, continuous increasing the volume of procurement of tea products; (c) implementation of modern industrial processing and packaging lines for tea products; (d) development of systems to maintain high product quality and marketing to bring products to foreign markets; (e) maintaining broad international contacts with world leading tea producers in order to exchange experience and attract modern proven technologies for the production of tea and tea-based products.
