Resolution No. 517 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Regulation on the procedure for compensation of part of interest payments on “green” consumer credit.

The Cabinet of Ministers, in order to expand the population's access to renewable energy devices and ensure that part of the interest payments on “green” consumer credits allocated for the purchase of these devices is covered, decrees as follows: (a) “green” consumer credits shall be allocated in national currency to natural persons for the purpose of installing solar photovoltaic power plants, solar water heaters and wind power plants; (b) for “green” consumer credits, the cost of which does not exceed 500 times the base settlement amount, and the interest rate does not exceed 1.5 times the base rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, compensation is paid for three years to cover that part of the interest rate that exceeds the main rate of the Central Bank, but does not exceed the 5 percent range; and (c) compensation is assigned for “green” consumer credits to natural persons who have received a positive conclusion from the scoring system of commercial banks at the time of application and have no overdue debt on loans and taxes.
