Resolution No. 605 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to further improve the activities of the National Termite Control Center.”

The Cabinet of Ministers decides to develop research work on termite control in the country, ensure the integration of science and production, stimulate research work, establish cooperation with leading foreign scientific institutions, introduce modern technologies into the country and strengthen the effective use of existing capabilities and to set up the National Research Center for Termite Control. National Research Center shall perform the following tasks: (a) studying the biology and ecology of termites and conducting fundamental, practical and innovative research to combat their harmful activities; (b) continuous improvement and implementation of food production technology and methods of its application used for production of baits to fight against termites; (c) development of guides, recommendations and manuals for termite control; (d) monitoring the spread of termites and harmful activities in residential areas, natural and historical sites, strategic sites and structures, open land plots of the country; and (e) preparation of anti-termite feed baits on the basis of the requests ordered by disinfection stations of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the city of Tashkent and regions and regional branches of the Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection.
