Resolution No. 77 of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to strengthen the mechanism of use of silkworm cocoons produced in the national territory.”

This Resolution establishes that export outside the national territory, including through commodity exchanges, of silk threads and yarn, yarn from silk waste and other silk products by enterprises and organizations, regardless of the form of ownership and departmental subordination, is carried out only for freely convertible currency. The Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Uzoptbirzhetorg, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, the Uzbekipaksanoat Association, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional executive bodies, other interested departments, enterprises and organizations shall: (a) ensure the conservation of the cocoon crop being grown and strict adherence to the established procedure for export of silk products outside the national territory; (b) for each fact of violation of the established procedure for the export of silk products outside the national territory, bring the perpetrators to strict liability in accordance with the law.
