Resolution No. 91 of the Cabinet of Ministers validating the Technical Regulation on safety of mineral fertilizers.

This Resolution establishes safety requirements for mineral fertilizers, as well as requirements for their storage, transportation and labelling and also rules for identifying mineral fertilizers, assessing their conformity, marking them with a national mark of conformity and placing them on the market. Plant Quarantine and Plant Protection Agency is designated as the authorized government body for testing and registration of chemical treatment and plant protection products. Technical regulation on the safety of mineral fertilizers has been developed on the national territory in order to prevent actions that mislead consumers regarding the protection of life and (or) health of people, animals and plants, the environment and property, as well as the use and safety of mineral fertilizers. This Technical Regulations applies to mineral fertilizers manufactured on the national territory and imported into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, listed in accordance with Appendix 1. It does not apply to organic and organo-mineral fertilizers. Safety data sheet is a document of the established form containing information about the dangerous properties of mineral fertilizers, information about the manufacturer (authorized representative of the manufacturer), importer of this mineral fertilizer, warning measures and safety requirements for the safe use of mineral fertilizers on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Mineral fertilizers are identified by the manufacturer (authorized representative of the manufacturer), importer, state control body and other interested parties. Mineral fertilizers should be classified according to the hazards indicated in the safety data sheet and warning label. Mineral fertilizers intended for sale in retail chains (enterprises and organizations of wholesale and retail trade) must be packaged. It is not allowed to sell mineral fertilizers in retail if consumption restrictions have been violated.
