Banana Industry Restructuring Act (No. 36 of 2001).

This Act makes provision for the establishment of the Banana Growers Association as a body corporate and of the Banana Action Committee which shall conduct the operations of the Association. The Act also defines functions and powers of the Association, provides for the registration of banana growers with the Association and related matters and appoints the Windward Island Banana Development and Exporting Company Limited as the sole exporter and marketer of bananas. Such marketing shall be governed by an agreement between the Association and the Company.
