Abstract
This Act declares the Winward Islands Banana Growers Association to be the Banana (Protection and Quality Control) Authority. The duty of the Authority shall be to carry out the provisions of this Act and to make recommendations to Government authorities. The Banana (Protection and Quality Control) Committee is established under section 5. The Committee shall advise the Banana (Protection and Quality Control) Authority regarding all matters within the scope and abject of this Act. Other provisions of the Act concern the boxing of bananas, prohibition of sale of "rejectable" bananas, exportation of bananas according to specified rules, and regulation making powers of the Authority.
