Abstract
The Central Water and Sewerage Authority may by declaration designate any areas to which these Regulations apply pursuant to regulation 3. Supply of water by the Authority under these Regulations or any agreement shall never be compulsory according to regulation 4. Regulations 5 to 16 concern approval of minor waterworks relating to water supply such as service pipes, connection, etc and application for water supply. Regulations 11 to 16 concern the metering of water. Regulation 17 concerns temporary supply of water. Regulations 18 to 24 concern water charges. Supply of water may be interrupted in accordance with regulations 25 to 30. Regulation 31 imposes a duty on the user not to waste, pollute or otherwise misuse water. No buildings shall be constructed over main sewers unless he or she is authorized by these Regulations. Authorized officers may order trees and shrubs within a given distance of a waterwork to be removed pursuant to regulation 36. Regulation 39 prohibits unlawful connections. Regulation 40 prohibits certain actions in relation to public water that may endanger public health. Regulation 42 prescribes offences. (43 regulations completed by 6 Schedules)
