Abstract
These Regulations, made under section 3 of the Supplies (Control) Act, Cap. 119, concern: the issuance of licences by the Ministry responsible for trade and by the Comptroller of Supplies for specific categories of goods; the determination of the issuance fee; items and goods whose importation is prohibited; Ministerial exemptions; offences, in case of contravention of the provisions of the Regulations. The lists of goods to be imported include: wheat flour; curry powder; margarine and shortening; pasta and pasta products; aerated beverages and beer; live poultry; meat of bovine animals, sheep, goat and swine, fresh or frozen; fish frozen; sausages and and similar products of meat; milk and cream not concentrated nor containing sugar or other sweetening matters; parts of trees and other plants suitable for use as Christmas trees; various vegetables and fruits; spices; mineral water and other non-alcoholic or flavoured beverages containing added sugar or other sweetening matters; lobster; plastic bags.
