Abstract
A Marine Parks Board is established under section 3. The provisions of the Schedule to this Act shall apply in respect of the constitution of the Board and related matters. The functions of the Board shall be to issue permits, to regulate the use of Marine Parks and to preserve them and to promote research and scientific study of Marine Parks (sect. 4). An area may be declared to be a Marine Park by the Minister under section 5. No person shall fish in sea waters being part of a Marine Parks or carry out any other acts in Marine Parks as listed in section 6. Offences are defined and penalties prescribed. Section 7 concerns mapping of a Marine Park. Regulation making powers of the Minister with respect to a Marine Park are set out in section 8. (8 sections completed by 1 Schedule)
