Circular on implementation of Decision No. 264-CT.

This Circular on the implementation of Decision 264-CT is aimed at the protection and development of forests. It concerns the allocation of land for afforestation and promotes the granting of funds in favour of forestry development. The State will provide grants for the establishment of key protection forests and special use forests. The State will fund the production cycle for different tree species and different areas. The State shall also assist with technical guidance, supply of seedlings and other services such as the sales of inputs and marketing of outputs. The State provides low interest credits for the creation of raw materials for the paper and pulp industry. The Circular lists the specific proportion of interest rates to apply for plantations supplying raw materials to industries.
