Abstract
This Circular provides for the examination and control of animal products for trade, the slaughter of animals and for the examination, control and use of veterinary drugs and feed in the raising of animals.
The Animal Health Department is responsible for elaborating annual plans on veterinary hygiene examination and control of animal products for export, import and domestic consumption. The plans shall be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for approval and allocation of funds for their implementation.
The Circular provides for restrictions on the use of veterinary drugs and feed in the raising of animals.
The Circular further provides for the handling of violations and for implementation responsibilities of agencies.
