This Decision 681/QD-TTg 2019 issues the Roadmap for implementing Vietnam's sustainable development goals to 2030. The document serves as a roadmap for the country's development strategy, aligning with global sustainable development objectives. It includes specific goals with targets for the years 2020, 2025, and 2030. These goals cover a wide range of areas including poverty alleviation, food security, health, education, gender equality, water and sanitation, energy, infrastructure, sustainable cities and communities, responsible consumption, climate action, oceans and seas, terrestrial ecosystems, and partnerships for the goals.
The targets under Goal 1 Poverty Alleviation aim to reduce poverty in all its forms, ensuring that all individuals have access to adequate resources to meet their basic needs, including food. The targets include: significantly reduce the percentage of people living in multidimensional poverty; expand social protection systems to cover all vulnerable groups, ensuring access to basic services and support during times of crisis; etc. The targets under Goal 2 Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture focus on ensuring access to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food for all, while promoting sustainable agricultural practices. Goal 3 addresses health issues, particularly the prevention and treatment of substance abuse, including drug and alcohol misuse. It sets targets for reducing harmful alcohol consumption and improving treatment coverage for drug addiction. Goal 6 emphasizes the importance of sustainable water management, aiming to ensure universal access to safe drinking water and sanitation by 2030. The target includes achieving a population coverage of 95-100% for clean and hygienic water supply. Goal 7 focuses on energy, with a target to double the rate of improvement in energy efficiency and reduce electricity consumption by 10% compared to baseline scenarios by 2030. It also aims to expand infrastructure and upgrade technology to provide modern and sustainable energy services, particularly in underdeveloped and remote areas. Goal 8 promotes sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all. It emphasizes the need for continuous and inclusive economic growth. Additionally, the document mentions the importance of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, as well as the conservation and sustainable use of oceans and marine resources.
