Decision No. 192/2006/QD-TTg approving the scheme on socio-economic development in Lai Chau Province until 2010.

This Decision approves the scheme on the socio-economic development of the Lai Chau Province.
The plan, among other things, shall: bring into full play the province’s advantages in its border locations, minerals, hydropower, land and climate for economic development; concentrate on hunger eradication; protect and develop forest resources. Socio-economic development shall include: the development of agriculture, forestry and fishery; the building of new irrigation works and the upgrading of existing ones to enable stable supply of water; the building of clean water supply systems; the management and efficient exploitation and use of natural resources in combination with environmental protection.
