Decision No. 204/2006/QD-TTg promulgating the national action program to combat desertification in the 2006-2010 period and orientations toward 2020.

The purpose of this Decision is to promulgate a national action program to combat desertification by properly managing forest resources, water sources and land. The action program shall cover desertified areas throughout the country, in particular areas in the north western region, the coastal Central Viet Nam, the Central Highlands and Long Xuyen quadrilateral region. Tasks of the action program and solutions to implement the program are outlined in the Decision. Attached to this Decision is a list of projects for the implementation of the National Action Program.
