Decision No. 25/2004/QD-BGTVT promulgating the Regulation on registry of inland waterways means.

The Regulation provides for the contents of principles and procedures for the registry of inland waterway means as well as the organization of inland waterway means registry. Contents of means registry and grounds for evaluation of quality, technical safety and environmental protection of means are described in Chapter II. The Regulation describes the procedures for approval of design dossiers and registry dossiers to be granted to means. The registry offices under Vietnam National registry shall inspect and grant the certificate for technical safety and environmental protection of inland waterways means specified in articles 11 and 12. The Regulation includes a list of current technical processes and standards applicable to inland waterway means (see Appendix).
