Abstract
The Vietnam CITES Management Authority has the function of advising and assisting the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development in exercising the rights and obligations of national representatives of member countries of the Convention o of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
The duties and powers of the Vietnam CITES Management Authority include: 1. Advise and assist the Minister in performing the representative duties authorized by the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam on implementing the rights and obligations of CITES member countries; 2. Coordinate with units of the Forest Protection Department to carry out state management of forest products and forest animals and wild plants according to the functions and tasks of the Forest Protection Department; etc.
