Decision No. 82/2002/QD-TTg on the setting up, organization and operation of Vietnam Environment Protection Fund.

The Decision deals with the creation of the Vietnam Environment Protection Fund centralized in Hanoi but with local branches spreading trough the whole country. Activities will be supported financially in order to protect environment from the menace of pollution and potential environmental disasters. The State budget will cover most of the expenses, allocating part of its resources to the Fund. Damage Compensation fees will be charged to the Fund and also private or public contributions will be channeled to the same Fund.
