Abstract
Rare and precious forest fauna as defined in this Decree consists of all species of special scientific, economic or environmental value, in small numbers, or small reserves, or which are in danger of extinction. The Ministry of Forestry is responsible to the Council of Ministers for implementing the protection and management of wildlife as proposed in this Decree. The State strictly forbids the exploitation and use of rare and precious forest flora and fauna listed in Group I. The exploitation and use of rare and precious forest flora and fauna in Group II is restricted. All forests throughout the country containing rare and precious forest flora and fauna shall be clearly delineated and marked both on maps and on the ground (art. 5). Exploitation of Group I wildlife resources shall be strictly forbidden and use of those belonging to Group II, including timber, shall be restricted in accordance with articles 8 and 9. Article 11 defines responsibilities of forest owners in wildlife management. The remaining articles provide for implementation by various administrative units. (14 articles and a Schedule)
