Abstract
This Decree provides for the collection, management, exploitation and use of land, water resources, geological and mineral, environmental, hydrometeorological , topographic and cartographic, marine and island natural resources and environmental data.
The Decree further provides for: responsibilities and powers of agencies managing natural resources and environmental data; and handling of violations, settlement of disputes, complaints and denunciations.

This Decree repeals Decree No. 162/2003/ND-CP promulgating the Regulation on collection, management, exploitation and use of water resources data and information and Decree No. 101/2007/ND-CP on collection, management, exploitation and use of marine resources and environmental data.
