Abstract
This Decree stipulates the procedures for liquidation and the management and use of funds obtained from the liquidation of planted forests under public ownership. It establishes a legal framework for managing and liquidating forests that have been damaged due to natural disasters, pest outbreaks, or other specified causes, aiming to ensure compliance with forestry laws, public investment management, and the effective use of public assets, thereby promoting sustainable forest management and restoration practices.
The Decree assigns responsibilities to various governmental bodies, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which will oversee the liquidation process. It mandates the establishment of Evaluation Councils to assess the extent of damage and the necessary liquidation procedures.
