Decree No. 40/2023/ND-CP on amendments to several Articles of the Government’s Decree No. 67/2018/ND-CP dated May 14, 2018 elaborating on several Articles of the Law on Irrigation.

This Decree No. 40/2023/ND-CP amends provisions of Decree No. 67/2018/ND-CP on implementing the Law on Irrigation. It updates classifications for irrigation works, including dams, pumping stations, culverts, canals, pipelines, and embankments, based on capacity and size. The Decree also revises qualification requirements for personnel operating dams, reservoirs, and electrical pumping stations, emphasizing technical expertise and experience.
Further changes include licensing principles, application procedures, authority for permits within irrigation safety perimeters, etc.
