Order No. 26/2012/L-CTN on the promulgation of the Law Amending and Supplementing a Number of Articles of the Electricity Law No. 24/2012/QH13.

This Law amends and supplements a number of articles of the Electricity Law.
Amendments include: the insertion of new definitions to article 3; the insertion of new provisions related to electricity development policies; the substitution of clauses 1 and 3 of article 8, and the insertion of a new article 8a on electricity development master plans and their contents; and the replacement of a number of terms throughout the Law as specified in article 2.
The Law further provides for the substitution of various provisions of articles 9, 11, 16, 18, 23- 25, 28-32, 39, 44, 49, 54, 62, 66 and 67 with new provisions on: the formulation, approval, the publicizing and adjustment of electricity development master plans; electricity development investments; electricity transmission, distribution and use; electricity markets; electricity activity licences; rights and obligations of electricity units and electricity-using customers; protection of electric equipment, electricity works and electric safety; electricity retailing prices in mountainous areas and islands; etc.
