Abstract
This Act proposes a series of measures that may be taken to prevent the outbreak of brucellosis affecting cattle or to reduce spreading of such diseases.
The Act consists of 18 sections divided into 7 Parts: General (I); Restricted Premises and Restricted Areas (II); General Health Requirements (III); Health Measures in Case of Acute Outbreak of Brucellosis (IV); Compensation (V); Ending of Restriction (VI); Offences and Forms (VII).
The Minister by Order declares restricted premises and areas under section 2. No person shall on restricted premises or in a restricted area carry out one of the activities listed in sections 3 and 4 and every owner of cattle shall take the preventive measures set out in section 5. Chapter III defines a series of preventive measures including serum testing and the isolation of reactors.
