Abstract
The Government Act of the Republic of Vanuatu aims to enhance governance, promote transparency, and support the effective functioning of the Executive branch in Vanuatu.The Act supplements Chapter 7 of the Constitution, which delineates the structure, role, and responsibilities of the Executive. Additionally, the Act addresses the appointment and responsibilities of political advisors, who provide essential political advice to ministers. It also outlines the establishment of committees within the Council to gather information, identify policy issues, and make recommendations. The Act emphasizes the importance of efficient governance, equitable distribution of benefits, and the improvement of efficiency within the public sector.
